Animal & Home Sitting Services

Terms and Conditions

The services provided are on a first come first served basis in order to make things fair.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Until then, the dates you require are left open to other potential bookings.

The balance must be paid no later than 7 days before your booking. You will be invoiced around 2 days before then. I will message you once invoice has been sent.

Full amount is due if the booking is made 7 days or less prior to your booking so this means that no deposit is required.

For overnight pet sitting, a deposit is returned if you cancel more than 21 days prior to your booking. Alternatively your deposit can be put towards a new date.

Deposit is not returned if you either cancel or change your dates less than 21 days prior to your booking.

For non overnight pet sitting bookings of 3 plus hours and also a number of pet visit or dog walk bookings (not regular), a deposit is returned if you cancel less than 14 days prior to your booking. Alternatively your deposit can be put towards a new date.

Deposit is not returned if either you cancel or change your dates less than 14 days prior to your booking.

Instead of the 50% deposit, full payment is due at time of booking if service is less than a £40 charge. This will automatically secure your booking like a deposit does.

This payment will be returned if you cancel no less than 7 days prior to your booking. Alternatively this amount can be carried over to a new date.

Payment will not be returned if you cancel or change your dates less than 7 days prior to your booking.

For more regular bookings, for example – weekly dog walks or pet visits, I require one week’s full payment in advance to secure your first chosen time slot which will count as your deposit and secure your booking. Weekly payments are then due 24 hours prior if your slots are always the same and no later than on the day the service is required if your bookings are likely to differ at times. This should have been discussed during ‘Meeting my fur-ever friends’. You will always be one payment ahead from the start which in theory acts as your deposit each time.

If you cancel a regular booking less than 24 hours prior to the booking you will need to pay another deposit as your original paid deposit will cover the cancellation.

A meet and greet must be arranged before any bookings are confirmed in order to make sure that both parties are clear and happy with the arrangement of services to be carried out. It’s also important that your pets are comfortable with me before I take care of them. These appointments are free of charge.

If needed, a key collection ideally should be arranged during ‘Meeting my Fur-ever friends. If this is not possible, please let me know in advance as there may be an additional charge for a key collection. This will always be made clear, giving you the option to arrange a drop off instead.

If the meet and greet is carried out a long time prior to a Pet Sitting booking, another visit can be arranged nearer to the time to go through things in more detail and to grab the key then so that the information discussed is fresh and incase anything changes between the first meeting and the actual booking.

For repeat business, a key drop off or collection can be arranged or alternatively I can keep a spare key if you prefer which I will of course keep safe.

Live-in sitting rates are charged per day and not per night. For example: Arrival time 5pm on Saturday. Leave time 1pm on Sunday = 2 days

If I am able to leave by 10am on the last day of the booking, you will receive a 50% reduction for that particular day. For example: £60 per day. £30 on the last day if I can leave by 10am.

If you require a pet sitting service for 6+ hours but not overnight, this can be from anytime of the day and I would need to leave no later than 11.59pm on the same day.

Live in day rate is charged from anytime of the day up until 11.59pm.

The next day will be charged as a new day from 12am.

If anything changes after the booking has been agreed for example – someone else will be staying at your property during a Pet Sitting job. Your pet sitter has the right to refuse the job as this was not part of the original agreement and should have been discussed at the time of the booking. If there are likely to be any important changes please make your pet sitter aware as soon as possible to avoid cancellations.

An online form will be sent along with your booking confirmation. Specific and important information is required to be able to carry out the best and safest service so please make sure this has been completed prior to your booking start date. Otherwise this could result in your booking being put on hold until the form has been completed.

Fees are charged at double the rate for all bank holidays including Easter Friday, Easter Monday, May and August bank holidays, Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years day.
